About Natal
Natal is a global AI venture studio that builds applied AI companies from unexpected places. We run intensive 12-week cohorts where eight hand-picked founders build defensible AI companies using a state-of-the-art agentic toolbox — AI agents, development infrastructure, and workflows that let a two-person team operate like twenty.
Our first three cohorts: Belgrade, Serbia (May–Jul 2026), Ballito, South Africa (Oct–Dec 2026), and Milan, Italy (Jan–Mar 2027). Our goal is 100 AI companies in five years.
The Role
We're hiring a Lead Programme Coordinator to run operations for Cohort 1 in Belgrade. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role. You'll be the person on the ground making sure everything works — from the physical space to founder logistics to event coordination — so that eight founders can focus entirely on building.
You'll report directly to the Managing Partner and work closely with our mentors and partners.
What You'll Do
- Own all logistics for the 12-week programme: office space, equipment, internet, day-to-day operations.
- Coordinate the founder recruitment pipeline — sourcing, screening, and scheduling interviews with candidates across Serbia and the region.
- Be the daily point of contact for founders during the cohort — troubleshooting problems, managing schedules, keeping momentum high.
- Organise events: demo days, mentor sessions, investor meetups, community events.
- Manage relationships with local partners, sponsors, and ecosystem players (universities, tech communities, government bodies).
- Handle programme communications — updates to founders, partners, and investors.
- Coordinate with the Natal team across time zones (South Africa, Italy, Serbia).
- Track founder progress and flag issues early.
- Manage the programme budget and report on spend.
What We're Looking For
- Based in Belgrade. This is non-negotiable — you need to be on the ground.
- Knowledge of the Serbian tech and startup ecosystem. You know where the best founders are, which communities matter, and where to find talent.
- Organised and fast-moving. The programme runs for 12 weeks with zero room for dropped balls. You thrive in somewhat chaotic and ambiguous environments.
- Strong communicator in English and Serbian. All programme materials and investor communications are in English.
- Comfortable with AI tools. You don't need to be a developer, but you should be fluent with AI products like Claude, ChatGPT and other agentic tools, and excited about the space. We practice what we preach — you'll be using AI agents in your own workflow.
- Proactive, not reactive. You'll need to make decisions, move fast, and own outcomes without waiting to be told what to do.
Nice to Have
A plus, but not required.
- Startup experience or deep empathy for founders. You’ve either built something yourself, worked at an early-stage company, or been closely involved in the startup ecosystem (accelerators, hackathons, tech communities).
- Experience running or coordinating accelerator/incubator programmes.
- Existing network in the Serbian tech community (developers, founders, investors).
- Connections to universities (Belgrade, Novi Sad) and tech talent pipelines.
- Event management experience.
